ABOUT THE EVENT /
PITTSBURGH KINDNESS DAY
Mayor Bill Peduto and Allegheny County Council have designated
Tuesday, November 13th as Pittsburgh Kindness Day.
The Pittsburgh Kindness Consortium, a local group dedicated to increasing awareness of kindness in our community, is holding a rally that day downtown. After the rally, Kindness Ambassadors will be deployed across the city, passing out cards to remind people to be kind to one another. Kindness can be expressed in many ways – opening a door for someone, sweeping a neighbor’s sidewalk, carrying a shopper’s groceries, buying coffee for the person behind you in line. The list of ways to be kind goes on and on.
Any effort that brighten someone’s day is an expression of kindness.
